Zion: Birch Hollow, Orderville, Narrows and the Subway.

This will be a two day trip into some of the most beautiful places in Zion. On Saturday we will have to have an early start to complete Birch Hollow, Orderville and the Zion Narrows. This trip is SUBJECT TO WEATHER and you should be in fairly decent physical condition. Both days will be long days to the tune of 9-12 hours. Both a wetsuit and helmet will be required for these canyons. You can rent these at an outfitter in Zion or from the local university.
Birch Hollow has 5/6 rappels up to 100 ft in length. The final rappel drops you into Orderville gulch. Orderville gulch has two small rappels and flowing water begins about halfway through. Orderville eventually merges with the spectacular Zion narrows. The last two miles are walking down the Zion Narrows. Birch Hollow is one of the most underrated canyons in Zions. Day 2 will feature the famous "Subway" one of the most photographed and exclusive places in Zion. Very few permits are given for this canyon on a daily basis and permits are usually reserved up to 3 months in advance. We will start at the top and work our way down to the bottom. This is another very beautiful and fun trip.

This is one trip you don’t want to miss! There will be a fee associated with this trip for the cost of permits and vehicle entry into the park. Space is limited. There is only room for a total of 11 on this trip. I am saving one spot for Shaun because it was his idea. If Shaun does not opt to go I will make his space available for the first one on the waiting list.
I will be leaving on Friday to go down there and reserve camp spaces. We will not be camping in the park. I know a great place outside the park that we will try to reserve.
