Backpacking and Outdoor Recreation Group
We’ll meet at the Wasatch 3500 E Park And Ride and carpool to Alta.
During this hike you will be amazed by the beauty and abundance of the colorful wildflowers (hopefully still in full bloom as they were today) and the breathtaking views.
Besides the usual- water, sunscreen and bug repellent, make sure to pack your cameras and leave room in your backpacks for some amazing rocks (that is if you are a rock collector and a fan of weight-bearing excercise, lol).
Please remember to bring flashlights, just in case. Also, bring a light jacket, as it may get cool.
Distance – 1. 75 miles one way (but we may not make it all the way)
Elevation gain- 1320 feet
Time: 2- 3 hours round trip (need to turn back before it gets dark)
Difficulty : Easy to ntermediate
Please note that no dogs are EVER allowed in Little or Big Cottonwood Canyons.
