Our first cookout was such a success that we’re having a second one. Jerry, one of our newest members, has volunteered his house in Kenosha.
If you’d like to carpool, please plan to meet at my house at 4 p.m. I’ll send detailed instructions with his address and mine as we get closer to the event.
Please plan to bring a drink to share with your fellow members (alcoholic kind encouraged). Then the food and everything will be purchased ahead of time, so the cost per member is $6. Please bring cash with you to the event or send a check ahead of time to me. I will send out an updated e-mail in the next few weeks with address information.
Please note that Jerry has several pets - dogs and cats. While most of us LOVE dogs and cats (including myself), there probably are some of you out there who don’t care for them too much. The cats will be hidden away in the house. However, if there is inclement weather then the cookout will be indoors. So if you’re allergic to cats, bring some allergy medication. Also, he has some dogs, which will be outside with us. If you’re afraid of dogs, allergic to dogs or just plain don’t like them then you may want to avoid this event. Of course, everyone is welcome, but we also want you to feel comfortable at the party. So please make your own decision as to whether you want to attend the event!
