Hi Everybody,
It’s time to start thinking about where you will be spending your 4th of July.
Last year before I took over this group, my friend Ken from Drinking with Strangers, hosted an event at the Marina Del Rey Hotel.
More than 120 members arrived and partied like Rock Stars from 11am to about 10pm.
Well, we are doing it again this year, only bigger and better!!! This years party will consist of members from No Flakes Singles, Dive Bar Adventures, and Drinking with Strangers. We plan to have about 300 people in attendance.

This year the hotel staff contacted Ken and I asking us if we’d like to come back. We ended up touring the place and seeing the changes they had made since last year and the space they would make available for us and what food they would serve and which band would be playing, etc.

After the tour, we said, "hell yeah we wanna come back!"
This year we will have much more room than last year, literally 2-3 times more space, the band is being moved to a huge area on the outside south side, we have the entire Waterfront room to ourselves, we’ve negotiated for 3 bars this time, and the food ( barbeque food for purchase), is being moved to both the pool side and the South side so we can populate the West Side to watch the fireworks at 9pm without obstruction and still have our drinks in hand!
Again, we will meet early at the Mexican restaurant up the block at 11:AM ? El Torito, 13715 Fiji Way

We are trying to get "Preferred" hotel rates for those who want to spend the night and should know by the end of this week? > May 9th, what the rates would be.
Lastly (for now) there will be a strict RSVP list - The MDR Hotel has room for around 250 people to party in, maybe 300. And since the organizers Kenway (Drinking with Strangers) and Chris K (Dive Bar Adventures) and I have become closer friends over the year we have decided to share in the RSVP amount as follows:
No Flakes - 125 RSVP’s
Drinking with Strangers - 125 RSVP’s
Dive Bar Adventures - 125 RSVP’s
So if one site has a full RSVP list, you can sign up with another group until the event is entirely filled.
I am allowing ONLY 100 members to sign up from my group, I have removed the guest option. If members want their guests to come, who are not a part of the group, then they must sign up with the group and RSVP themselves.
Suggested Dress for the evening -> Very casual and comfortable.
Parking - Is Free for No Flakes Singles members until the Hotel lot is full, then either $5 or $7 at a city lot about 1/2 block away.
