For anyone who can’t make the Dinings & Outings Chicago trip this weekend for whatever reason, we can still have some fun. It isn’t Taste of Chicago, but the ComFest is one of the more interesting weekends Columbus has to offer. Live music on several stages. 100s of booths featuring alternative arts, crafts, philosophies, politics, environment, spirituality, everything… The best people-watching of the year. Actual hippies in their natural habitat. Unusual attire. Lots of beer (and wine). Great food choices, from Whole World to Taste of India to brats and gyros. You can do all your tie-dye shopping here. Stock up on hemp accessories. Join a cult if you haven’t already. Or just hang out enjoying the (hopefully) beautiful weather, listening to music and drinking cold ones with friends. Anything goes! 
This is an annual tradition you don’t want to miss. We will meet up and then establish a home base in front of whichever stage promises the best bands for the evening. If you have picnic blankets please bring so we can claim a big spot. Then we can venture out from home base throughout the night to take in the sights and sounds. It’s OK to bring your own cooler, but please remember the ComFest is 100% funded by beer sales, with no corporate sponsorship, so plan to buy at least some beverages at the booths. It’s for a good cause.
