Hello Black Singles Over 40,
February is Black History Month. So, let’s take a little time out of our busy schedules to enrich our lives with the history and culture of African-American heritage. We will take two tours. Here are the details:
DATE – Saturday, February 27, 1010
MEETUP TIME – 1:45 p.m.
MEETUP LOCATION – APEX Museum, 135 Auburn Avenue, Atlanta, GA 30303
(Downtown Atlanta, the block between Piedmont and Courtland Street)
TOUR # 1
DETAILS – The group has reservations for a guided tour of the Apex Museum. The tour will start at 2:00 p.m. and last about one hour and a half. Please arrive on time at 1:45 p.m. to allow time to register and pay admission.
COST – $4.00 per person
TOUR # 2
DETAILS – Upon conclusion of Tour #1, we will proceed next door to the Auburn Avenue Research Library on African American Culture and History. There, we will take a self-guided tour of FIGHTING AGAINST THE ODDS: The Tuskegee Airmen: The Segregated Skies of World War II. You can also take time to view the other features and exhibits. The Research Library is free.
PARKING – There is a parking lot on the side of the Apex Museum. There is a fee required – honor parking – you put the fee in the parking box.
